Advertising W’s and H’s
It is a known fact that advertising is a very important part of any business. It is actually one of the bloodlines of any business in order to survive – especially with competition lurking around.
The common problem with advertising is that business people, especially the small ones, are caught in the web of spending a lot for advertising but are still not getting the results that they wanted. This problem should undoubtedly be taken seriously, plus considering the fact that it really affects a lot of businesses. The first thing to do about this is that the business owner should recognize and admit that there really is a problem so he or she can work out in solving it.
Once there is realization, the business owner can now start asking the 2 W’s and the 2 H’s. The W’s stand for where and when and the H’s stand for how and how much. Now you are the one to fill out the missing words to form the question, such as where should I advertise? When is it a good time to hire for help? How will I package my product and How much will it cost me?
To do this, you have to undergo some experimentation. Keep in mind that one strategy may work for you even if it doesn’t work for another. Once you have finally sorted out that works for you, then you should repeat that and remove the ones that don’t. There are plenty of outlets that you can choose from like print, television, radio, and the internet. And under each is still a lot of ways to reach out to more people, so you can really find your advertising ground in any of them – just keep on trying. Lastly, the question of how much will you spend will just follow right after this.
