Pumping Up Your Sales Copy
Whenever you’re reading a sales ad or any kind of material about stuff that you’d like to buy, a lot of questions come to your mind. You’ll have concerns about this and that but there’s no one to answer all your questions so you just shrug the idea and discontinue with the purchase. You have to admit that if this happens to you, then someone who is reading a sales copy of your business might be feeling the same way.
You don’t need to read minds just to know what all your customers and would-be customers are thinking. Some practicality and your trusty old common sense can do the trick. Remember to ask the what, the why and the how:
• What do I get from this?
It’s important to make your customers see what you mean. Don’t just babble on the benefits of your product, have them visualize what they will be getting from you. Make them see themselves enjoying these benefits, use words that will help them picture out what you want them to see.
• How can you do that for me?
Another important thing is to explain to your customers how your product will help them or benefit them. Cite specific sources, explain the workings of your products, and give results. Make them trust you and show them that you are credible and your goods are efficient.
• Why should I believe what you’re saying?
Assure your clients; provide them with details and information about your company. Show them the credentials and your qualifications. Make them see that you have the expertise to come up with a working product. Just like convincing them to buy, you must convince them to believe in you and your product. Show them results or “real” testimonials (not just made-up stories) from your satisfied customers.
• What happens if I don’t like it?
Try to make them feel that they’re not risking a big sum of money or effort when they purchase from you. Give your customers a guarantee like giving a refund or a triple money back offer or anything that you can afford and fulfill. It’s also good time make them see that you are for keeps. People like it when they feel that you will just be around in the long run.
Try incorporating these tips to your sales copy and help boost your sales. Turn your readers or surfers from prospective buyers to real and lasting clients.
